You can ask my husband, anytime we pull up to the guard house of a National Park there are two things I launch into full force. One is holding Michael and Madge back from jumping out the window to get the doggie treats from the ranger. The second is grabbing up the park map. Why? Because I become quite giddy at the opportunity to open that glossy finished map and read about the wildlife can be found in the park.
It seriously excited the living daylights out of me to know that there are living wild animals roaming around inside the park that we can see (obvs from a safe distance) with our own eyes! How glorious that our country has set aside lands for us to go and witness wildlife in their natural habitat and soak up the astounding miracle that wildlife and nature are. Thanks John Muir!
My interest in wildlife as we’ve visited National Parks along our journey this year birthed the inspiration for this mini-collection. I couldn’t be more excited (and nervous) to share and release this 10 piece collection.
a few things to note…
…The creature on each piece was chosen based on National Parks we’ve visited or hope to visit.
…Every piece comes completed in a hand picked vintage frame found at antique stores, thrift shops, or flea markets from my journey through Utah this past month. I am completely thrilled with how each piece shines in its unique frame.
…To contribute to the well being and future of our country’s National Parks, $10 from every purchase will be donated to the National Parks Foundation.
…The pieces will be released for purchase on July 18th at 10:00 a.m. EST
…Follow along on Instagram @rachaelgraceart to see sneak peeks of the pieces before they’re released on July 18th
If you have any questions between now and the 18th, please ask! Also, during this time I’m still accepting commissions for pen and ink or watercolor pup portraits.
Cheers!
